Image_00365Chelsea_marketI’d have to say, the pictures on this post won’t be particularly impressive, but they definitely capture the various activities I’ve been a part of. The first picture tells you how to make a Practically Pomegranate Perfectly Peach Prim and Proper Punch. (Try saying that 10 times fast!) It’s a drink we sell at the New Amsterdam Theater where Mary Poppins the musical is playing. (Yes I got the job!) The second picture, I took when I went to Chelsea Market to find the tools I needed for my cater waitering job. I didn’t realise it was quite so festive there.

The next picture is one I took at an Irish Pub where they were filming Toe Tactic, an upcoming film sponsored by Sundance that I had an extra part in. It’s also a half-animated film. Together with "Enchanted", I’ve been in two now! The fourth picture was taken after "Follies" was performed. Stephen Sondheim stepped onto stage and discussed the musical with the audience and the panel. Actors in this production were amazing! They include Donna Murphy (Spiderman 2), Christine Baranski (Cybil), Victor Garber (Titanic) and Victoria Clark (Best Actress in Musical 2006)!

I also just booked a school show with Grumbling Gryphons. It aims to make kids aware of the effects of pollution. More pictures and updates in due time!

Apartment_3bThis week has been EFFORT. Punch each letter and do it real slow now… E-F-F-O-R-T. Just like that. Walking through the cold winds, packing & unpacking, moving furniture up and down (and getting it to all fit in a van), cleaning dirty bathrooms, waiting in crowded audition rooms, sitting arched over my computer looking for jobs.. the list is endless.

Cater_waitering But it has paid off. I’m now on staff for a cater waitering company (I have always dreamed of walking banquet halls serving socialites dressed to the nines). And I also booked background for my second feature film here. It’s unlikely I’m going to be working every day, but every day I work jobs like these, I get about $100. I just need to work 7 days a month to pay rent. Not too much to ask for is it?

Mary_poppinsThere are other jobs I’m looking at that pay less. I’ve been surprisingly getting more calls for film/tv type things here. I might get to work at the Mary Poppin theater selling merchandise and also might book hosting a tv show. Not sure of all the details but I’ll keep posting updates here. So all in all, I feel really productive and happy to be living life. =)
