Gods and Goddesses
Singapore idol judge, composer of the year, man-of-many-talents-extraordinaire Dick Lee opened the evening with Cyndi Lauper’s, "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun" but replaced GiRLS with GoDs! How fun! The second song was from Disney’s Hercules, "The Gospel Truth" sung by Celine Rosa Tan (pictured right), Leigh McDonald and yours truly (with white frenzy hair, pictured left).
Guests sat at dimly-lit, raisin-strewn tables surrounding a gorgeous fountain. They were spoilt rotten and pampered like Gods for this fund-raising ball organised by and for the Singapore Repertory Theatre. Not only were they served up the finest Greek cuisine, gorgeous "slaves" paraded in skimpy outfits to feed them grapes from a dangling bunch. The free-flowing alcohol had us all drown in debauchery. Thankfully, no one was struck by lightning!
