Graduation

Elaine_stritchAnsonia"…And you’re back again only different than before…" not till New York/AMDA. Sondheim’s words in Giants In Sky has never rung more true for me. I’m back in Singapore for a real short period this June to catch up mainly with family and friends and then back to New York for the big rat race. Things are different yet the same. Put in perspective.

Elaine Stritch was guest speaker at my graduation and she touched on exactly what I needed to hear. 1) What we are and why we do what we do 2) Fear always being there - it’s just how you handle it and 3) Not hating oneself.

I feel like I’ve been reborn! I was hoping this would happen at 30. Well a year in advance isn’t bad! =)

New Website - Dwayne Connected!

Friday, May 12th, 2006

Dwaynetitle_copy I have a new website that I made. I don’t know if you’ve ever felt all over the Internet but not really in one place? Well my solution to that was to have one website that linked all my activities on the net. So you can have access to MY Myspace, Friendster Blog, Bravenet Journal, Video clips, Singing Samples, Articles, Pictures and more just by going to one place. So type dwaynetan.bravehost.com to get there or simple click here. Be sure to bookmark or add it to favourites because I’m intending to post lots of interesting things there and it’s also a place for my friends to meet my other friends. =)

Cyber_wars_at_blockbuster_2_1Cyber_wars_at_tower_1Cyber_wars_at_blockbuster_3There’s still a buzz of excited energy here. I’ve less than a month of school to go and I’m treasuring every single moment. There are many people I will probably never see again and also many new friendship developing. I am also slowly branching out into the world of auditioning and have generally been well received (i.e. callbacks). So I’m very encouraged. Just walking into Blockbuster Videos and Tower Records, I saw the movie I was in on the shelves. I was thrilled and so took several pictures. =) 4th Semester classes are the most fun and teach you most about the industry. What a time!
